Katie is excited to be returning to GEMS for her 5th year. As a Learning Specialist, she enjoys building relationships to build confidence and academically support her students. Katie previously taught in Hong Kong at an IB World school before joining GEMS in 2019 as a fourth grade teacher. Katie loves playing games and reading, which she embeds in her teaching practice. When not at school, she enjoys pickleball, yoga, traveling with her family and finding ‘gems’ around Chicago to explore and eat out.
